Orientation

The Obridge Academy Orientation Experience

Just like any other school, Obridge Academy acknowledges the importance of having an orientation for students and their families. It’s during this orientation that families will be given the resources they need to learn about getting a high school diploma online and that they can reference throughout the year. Information will also be provided about extracurricular activities. Our goal is to ensure that no student misses out on these opportunities at Obridge Academy.

During this orientation, students will also generate their own schedules to begin the process of building time management skills. Since we know that every student has unique needs and ways of learning, we want to ensure that those things are factored into the student’s schedule. Our instructors will teach both students and their parents how to use our online systems. Finally, instructors will go over their expectations so that students know exactly what they need to do to be successful.

Parents will be interested in the aspect of orientation that covers teacher services. Each teacher has office hours on a weekly basis to ensure that there is always a time when they are available to provide academic assistance. This is also a great time for parents to provide any feedback or address any concerns they may have.

With the orientation resources and live online courses, parents and students can both feel confident that they can navigate the online environment of our online high school courses and grade book.
